Junior Enterprises have been around for 50 years. First started in France, the Junior Enterprise Movement has now expanded to over 44 countries across the world, marking its presence in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and North America.

1967 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in France at ESSEC Business School;

1969 - Creation of the French National Confederation of Junior Enterprises;

1983 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in Switzerland at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne;

1988 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in Brazil and in Italy at Add Fundação Getúlio Vargas and Bocconi University;

1989 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in Austria and Denmark, based in Vienna and Aarhus;

1992 - Creation of JADE, the European Confederation of Junior Enterprises, based in Brussels;

1995 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in the United Kingdom at the University of Westminster in London;

1997 - Creation of UniPartners, the network of Junior Enterprises in the Netherlands;

2003 - Creation of Brasil Junior, the Brazilian Confederation of Junior Enterprises;

2012 - Creation of JET, the Tunisian Confederation of Junior Enterprises;

2012 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in the United States of America at University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign;

2013 - Foundation of the first Junior Enterprise in Mexico at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México;

2016 - Creation of Junior Enterprise United States of America, the American Confederation of Junior Enterprises;

2019 - Junior Enterprise USA becoming one of the most prominent confederations of Junior Enterprises in the world.
